A nostalgic stay with friendly vibes
The Metropole Hotel radiates charm with its nostalgic atmosphere, making it a joy to explore nearby shops and enjoy the warm hospitality from Steve and the team. Rooms are spotless and cooling air conditioning was appreciated during warm nights.
Unfortunately, our stay was marred by noisy street activity late at night, leaving us restless until the early hours. we encountered some challenges with parking, making arrivals a bit inconvenient.

The location is great, close to the restaurants.
The shower head pressure was frustratingly low, which made my showers uncomfortable. the bathroom was cramped, with little room around the sink and an oddly placed hairdryer. I also found the room quite tiny for a comfortable stay, and the absence of an iron board made ironing a clumsy affair.

Target audience could find it okay
The mattress was impossible to sleep on,, even after flipping it over a cloud of dust followed. The staff,, they were really nice and tried to help even when the room was cramped.
It wasn’t pricey, but still felt like I overpaid for what I got.

A puzzling experience ensued during this stay. While the staff were friendly and helpful, the room left much to be desired, highlighted by the absence of hot water throughout the visit. noise from a nearby nightclub made restful sleep nearly impossible. Choosing breakfast from the nearby bakery was a nice touch, especially with the options available, including an egg station. the location felt underwhelming, lacking in nearby attractions and activities.

Charming location with helpful management
I stayed for one night and was impressed by the charming atmosphere of the old building, which is surrounded by beautiful streets filled with shops and restaurants. The manager, Steve, was particularly helpful, assisting with parking and providing valuable recommendations. The room was clean, and the air conditioning worked exceptionally well to keep the space comfortable. The nearby bakery breakfast delivery was a nice touch. I found the lack of cups for the kettle in the room a bit odd.
